A. What is a laboratory refrigerator?
A laboratory refrigerator is a common laboratory appliance that consists of a thermally insulated compartment and a heat pump (mechanical, electronic, or chemical) which transfers heat from the inside of the unit to its external environment so that the inside is cooled to a temperature below the ambient temperature of the room.Laboratory refrigerators are designed to maintain the temperature of sensitive chemical compounds and biological samples.

B. How is it different from a home refrigerator ?
They are different to the domestic fridges found in homes and restaurants as they maintain a very specific temperature range consistently and without fail. They also need to be completely hygienic and reliable and standard fridges are simply not powerful or accurate enough to achieve the desired temperature range of a laboratory refrigerator.
